Paul McMenamin
Media and Film

Every project in remote locations presents new challenges and risks, requiring a wide range of diplomatic, negotiation, and sometimes combatant skills.  I have been involved with media organisations since 2001 when I planned and led a team of industry experts on numerous scenarios during hostile environment and high risk training courses.  Across my fields of engagement I have worked with / for BAFTA, Bollywood, BBC, RDF Media, Channel 5 / Ricochet, Celador, North One, Shed, Granada, Tiger Aspects and UK Film Council.

I have built relationships within a wide range of Film and Television companies, which give me unrivalled opportunities for creating action scenarios.  My latest contribution to the media and production industry came in 2008 when I wrote and designed an episode for the television series "Unbreakable" for Ricochet Ltd a leading British production company.  My direct involvement included:

  • Programme construction
  • Terrain reconnaissance
  • Sourcing of programme logistics and props
  • Leading a team of specialist industry instructors
  • Working as on-screen expert during the programme shoot

Of increasing relevance for international film work, my experience and connections encompass former Special Forces and Intelligence Personnel as well as, Health and Safety Officers, Explosives Experts, High Trauma Paramedics with fully equipped 4x4 off-road ambulances, Armourers, Terrain Hosts and Logistics Organisers.

This network gives me access to international location resources, on screen expertise, logistics and props, and a wide variety of transportation options.  Do not hesitate to consult with me to discuss options that will meet your exact requirements and budgets.
